West Broad Street
As part of a continuing effort to revitalize West Broad St, ODOT 158006 was awarded to Trucco with their bid of just over $13.5 million. The project included 10 miles of storm and waterline, 300 storm structures, over 26,000 LF of curb, almost 81,000 SF of sidewalk and additional drive lanes. A 42″ storm sewer trunk line was installed down the middle of the busy road, with traffic maintained on both sides of the work zone. A multi-phase MOT plan was required to keep traffic moving and to maintain access for all of the businesses located within the work zone. Extensive new signal work, street lighting, landscaped medians and asphalt paving were also part of the project.
