What Does Safety Mean To You?
Trucco Construction puts the safety of its team members, trade partners, and the general public as the top priority on all of our projects. Cost or schedule is never placed above the safety of our teams. From project inception to completion we work meticulously to identify and eliminate hazards that our teams may face in the field. We call this “Safety on Purpose”.
Continual improvement is one of the pillars of a successful safety program. In an effort to help ensure employee safety and continually improve our program, Trucco Construction provides CPR/First Aid and OSHA 10 hour training to every employee as well as 30 hour training to all supervisors. Numerous employees are MSHA certified for mining work. This is in addition to daily huddles that work to identify and mitigate the hazards a heavy construction worker encounters every day.
Trucco actively participates in OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).
The Voluntary Protection Program promotes effective worksite-based safety and health.
In the VPP, a cooperative relationship is established between management, labor and OSHA at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. Approval into the VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health on their projects. Trucco Construction was the first Site Civil Company in Ohio accepted into the program since the program’s inception in 1982.
Trucco Construction was first recognized as a Star Mobile Workforce Voluntary Protection Program Company in 2009, and continues to maintain that status – something we are all very proud of.
